OSUN POLICE ARRESTS 11 SUSPECTS FOR ARSON, ATTEMPTED MURDER, WILFUL DAMAGE OF PROPERTIES

Upon the report of a case of Arson, attempted murder and willful damage (destruction of properties); in AYE town, Ejigbo Local Government Area on 16/3/2021, the Commissioner of Police, CP Olawale Olokode, psc, drafted a team of Policemen to the scene at Aye town in Ejigbo Local Government Area, to investigate the case.
In a press statement by the Command’s Spokesperson, SP Opalola Yemisi Olawoyin, “In the course of arresting the suspects in connection with the case, policemen were attacked and a police sergeant was cut with cutlass on his right arm and fell down, while the policeman was on ground groaning in pains, the attacker escaped into the bush.”
“Consequent upon the attack, the policemen retired to the office with the arrested suspects, while the injured was taken to the hospital for treatment. Thereafter, information had it that a dead body was found in the bush, suspected to be the fleeing one.
Meanwhile, the CP has appeal to the people of the State to promptly report their matter to the police as there are proper ways to channel grievances, rather than taking laws into their hands.
He urges the good people of the state to continue to cooperate and collaborate with the state Command as he assures justice and fairness in the matter, and in all cases under investigation. Finally, he is using the same medium to condole with the family of the victim.
