MATAWALLE RECEIVES AANI ZAMFARA CHAPTER, CALLS FOR UNITY OF PURPOSE

The Honourable Minister of State for Defence and former Governor of Zamfara State, H. E. Dr. Bello Muhammad Matawalle MON, on Wednesday received members of the Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI), Zamfara State Chapter, on an advocacy visit to his office in Abuja.

Welcoming the delegation, Dr. Matawalle commended the Association for organizing a timely summit for indigenes of Zamfara State and stressed the need for collective commitment to the state’s development.

“The future calls for dedication to the service of Zamfara State, to ensure that Zamfara becomes greater,” the Minister said.

He urged all stakeholders to work together irrespective of differences. “We must work together in all fields of human endeavour to make our dear state and our nation greater,” he added.

Speaking earlier, the State Chairman of AANI, Zamfara Chapter, Muhammad Mujitaba Isah, FCTI, mni, said the visit was in recognition of the Minister’s statesmanship and exemplary leadership, both as former Executive Governor of Zamfara State and as a member of the Federal Executive Council.

Mr. Isah explained that the delegation sought the Minister’s guidance and experience ahead of the Association’s forthcoming summit.

The summit, scheduled for July 2026, will bring together leaders, policymakers, academics, and other stakeholders from Zamfara State to deliberate on critical issues relating to the state’s people, economy, and security.
