Ogunsan, Lakanu, Odumosu Named in 36-Member Security and Intelligence Directorate Committee of Lagos APC Campaign Council • as Kadri Hamzat goes for victory in 2027 guber elections

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has named a 36-member Security and Intelligence Directorate for its Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial elections. The directorate comprises retired senior security officers, professionals, community stakeholders and individuals drawn from diverse backgrounds, reflecting the party’s organisational approach to security coordination and intelligence-related responsibilities.

Among the prominent figures listed are the Executive Secretary/CEO of Lagos State Security Trust Fund, LSSTF, Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, retired Deputy Inspector-General of Police, DIG Taiwo Lakanu; General Olumuyiwa Okunowo; and retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Hakeem Odumosu. Their inclusion in the directorate places experienced security and public safety professionals alongside other members tasked with contributing to the campaign council’s security and intelligence framework.

The directorate’s assigned responsibilities will be central to ensuring public peace, safety, and security throughout the electioneering process of Dr. Kadri Hamzat gubernatorial candidacy. The directorate will also be instrumental to campaign coordination and stakeholder engagement during the political activities,

The constitution of the Security and Intelligence Directorate comes as political parties continue preparations for the 2027 electoral cycle. Also named in the Security and Intelligence Directorate are Dr Rasaq Balogun, retired Colonel Dele Oyefuga, Comrade Sola Omojuwa Omosebi, Mr Sheriff Muhammed, Mr Liasu Rasaq, FCA, and Honourable Wasiu Ogunlana.

Furthermore, the list includes Mr Sefiu Bello, Mr Bolaji Idris Ariyo, Mr Tunde Oyedeji, Mr Fashesan, DCP, Mr Kenny Motajo, Ms Adesanya Tolulope Shared, Ms Adedoyin Rojaiye and Mr Sule Yusuf.

Other members of the directorate are Alhaji Gafar Owolabi, Mrs Bamgbose Damilola Ajaja, Mr Abdulrasaq Adewole, Mr Opeyemi Ogunsakin, Mr Yomi Jones, Mr Niyi Olofin and Ms Gbemisola Olusegun Kebku.

The party’s list also features Mr Wuzu Shakiru, Honourable Issa Folami, Comrade Rasaq Olokuoba, ACP Segun M. Odunlami and ACP Leke Smith, alongside Prince Ifalade Oyekan.
Completing the membership are Ms Ireti Ayomide Adewole, Mr Ayo Adesanya, Mr Adeyinka Isiaka, Mr Adekunle Muritala and Chief Dayo Ariyo.

The development signals the APC’s ongoing organisational preparations for the forthcoming gubernatorial elections in Lagos State.
