In a bid to avoid building collapse and its attendant effects, the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA) today demolished a critically distressed four-floor structure located at Festac Extension Estate, off Eko Akete Road, Mile

He also urged building owners/developers to do periodic checks and maintenance of their buildings as this will help buildings stand the test of time and curb building collapse in the state.

A member of the community, Miss Anita Ayama expressed the people’s gratitude to LASBCA and the Lagos State Government for the prompt response and action as the building before its demolition had been a source of concern for the residents because of the danger it posed.
