In a momentous ceremony attended by high-ranking officials and distinguished guests, the Centre for Ethics and Self Value Orientation bestowed the prestigious 2023 Corporate Ethics and Integrity Compliance award upon the Commissioner of Police (CP) in Gombe state. The event took place at the Command Headquarters Gombe and marked a significant milestone as it recognized the CP’s outstanding dedication to maintaining ethics and integrity within the police force.
Ethicist Prince Salih Musa Yakubu, the Executive director who came with the Delegation from Kogi State, praised the CP’s exceptional efforts. The award was a result of an anonymous investigation into the activities of officers and personnel in Gombe state, making it a testament to the CP’s unwavering commitment to upholding ethical standards. Notably, this honor is the first of its kind awarded to any individual or organization in the Northeastern region.

The Gombe State Police Command surpassed all necessary criteria and tests, earning them the esteemed Corporate Ethics and Integrity Compliance award. Furthermore, the CP was acknowledged as IION (Integrity, Integrity, and Outstanding Nigerian) by the executive director.
Expressing deep gratitude, CP Oqua Etim expressed his appreciation for the delegation’s visit and the recognition bestowed upon both him and the Command. With sincerity and humility, he extended his well wishes to the delegation in their role as youth ambassadors, working diligently towards a better Nigeria.
