CP Fayoade Parades 37 Suspects, Promises to Make Lagos Uncomfortable for Criminals 

The Commissioner of Police, Mustapha Adegoke Fayoade, has paraded 37 crime suspects arrested in the last couple of weeks since he assumed office.

Speaking during the parade at the Lagos Police Command Headquarters, the Commissioner of Police noted that the suspects cut across criminals who perpetrated various degree of crimes in the state between December 2023 and the present, including armed robbery and unlawful possession of arms, cultism, stealing and occultic display.

He also intimated that the force under his command within the period under review recovered a total of Sixteen (16) firearms including a toy pistol, Seventy-Two (72) live cartridges, Seventy-Five (75) live ammunition, one expended cartridge, one pistol magazine, Six axes, Four daggers, Five Cutlasses, Two (2) vehicles, one POS Machine, fake vehicle registration plates and various charms.

Among the suspects were hoodlums and cultists terrorizing Ikorodu and its environs. Some of them are Balogun Tola aka 50 ‘m’ aged 35, Tunde Oladipupo ‘m’ aged 43, Rasa Ridwan ‘m’ aged 27 and Abimbola Aro ‘m’ aged 29.

Items recovered from them include Three English double barrel gun, One pump action rifle, one reining model 700 rifle, one locally made pistol, Seventy-Four rounds of live ammunition, Sixty-Eight rounds of cartridges, one baretta pistol magazine, Four axes, Three daggers and Five cutlasses. 

CP Fayoade further warned criminals inhabiting the state to turn over a new leaf or vacate the state because their days are numbered and they will be caught.

He insisted that under his watch, the Command would continue to do everything operationally possible to ensure that crime and criminality is brought to the barest minimum.
