Planning is the blue print between where we are, and where we want to be. It’s the bridge between today and tomorrow. Hon Dayo Saka Fafunmi is a strategic planner and executor.

To him, things are hardly a product of chance if we applied our hearts to reasonings. This is because like a pilot, we cannot and must not make mistake for several things and lives are attached to every single decision we make – act of omission or commission we commit.

I remembered with profound memory now when Hon Fafunmi wanted to start the Hon Dayo Fafunmi Free School Bus Rides. The initiative dated back to five years before its commencement, while the routes planning and likely weekly cost implications were done like two years before the time.

Three of us met at Excellence Hotel for several hours to discuss the modalities, (I’m quite sure, one of us will be smiling while reading this), and planned ahead. Perhaps, this is what made the project a huge success with large impact on the masses principally made up of primary and secondary schools students in Ifako Ijaiye.
