Former Governor of Zamfara State HE Abdul Aziz Abubakar Yari, has gladly welcomed the decamping of governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle from the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, to the ruling All progressive Congress the APC.
Yari made this known yesterday in Kaduna after meeting with Zamfara APC critical stakeholders.  In his words; Yari whom many see as the greatest threat to peace initiatives in Zamfara said; “I don’t have any aggressive motive nor intention against my friend decamping, as a sitting Governor of our dear state, Zamfara, Governor Matawalle have the right of association and without wasting further time.”
Saying;  “I Abdul Aziz Abubakar Yari the former Governor of Zamfara State, hereby with all

honesty declare my total loyalty and support to His Excellency Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle.”
The former Governor popularly known as (Shehi) describes Matawalle as a true democrat, trustworthy and hardworking gentleman whose name must be remembered for his numerous life changing projects in the state.
Jokingly, towards the end of the meeting, Yari, the former Governor said: “I have a strong feelings and believed that my friend Governor Matawalle will support my Chairmanship ambition so as to emerge as the next APC National Chairman.
