HAJJ 2022: SECOND BATCH OF STATE PILGRIMS ARRIVE IN LAGOS

The second batch of another 426 Lagos State pilgrims has returned to Nigeria after completing the holy pilgrimage exercise in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The second batch of Lagos State pilgrims on arrival at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA) Ikeja, Lagos on Tuesday.

The pilgrims landed at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos at exactly 12.30 pm on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.

The gradual return of Lagos State pilgrims began on Sunday, July 17 with 430 pilgrims. With the safe arrival of the second batch of 426 pilgrims today, a total number of 856 Lagos State pilgrims are back home.

Mrs. Ganiyat Ojomu, Head of Administration and Human Resource, Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, who led officials to welcome the pilgrims at the airport, expressed confidence that the remaining pilgrims would return safely to their family and friends soon.

She also admonished the pilgrims to let the teachings of Hajj reflect in their conduct and relationship with others henceforth.
