The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has celebrated the Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, as a man whose word carries the weight of a promise fulfilled. The IGP made the remarks on the occasion of Dr. Ogunsan’s 50th birthday, describing him as a dependable partner whose approach to leadership and public safety has continued to add value to the security architecture of Lagos State.
According to the IGP, Ogunsan’s leadership reflects what he described as “360-degree leadership” – an approach that allows opinions to be heard, encourages participation and makes those working with him feel genuinely carried along. That combination of institutional responsibility and human consideration, Disu suggested, has become an important feature of Ogunsan’s engagement with the security community.
Beyond official engagements, the IGP commended Ogunsan’s disposition towards the welfare and dignity of people working around him. He hailed the LSSTF chief as a leader who treats people with respect, avoids authoritarianism and remains accessible to those within his professional circle.
As Ogunsan celebrates his Golden Jubilee decade, the IGP’s message was both celebratory and prayerful: “May his next year be better than everything he has seen. May Almighty God continue to be his guide, and may he go from wealth to wealth, and health to health.”
