The National President of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Hon. Engr. Bello Lawal, has been honored with an Award for Excellence for his outstanding services in Kaita Local Government Area.
This prestigious award was presented to him in his local government Kaita, during a visiting tour by ALGON NEC on the sidelines of National Executive Council Meeting held in Katsina State.
The event was attended by a massive crowd of well-wishers from Kaita LGA, as well as the full complement of the 774 Local Governments and Area Councils in Nigeria.
Two past National Presidents, Hon. Aminu Mu’azu Maifata and Hon. Ibrahim Jalo, Chairman of the Board of Trustees Hon Odunayo Ategbero alongside the Deputy National President Hon Moses Nomeh. were all in attendance and delivered goodwill messages.
The Chairman of the 36 states of Nigeria, representing all states from Abia to Zamfara, were also present a National Executive Council members representing their various states alongside Technical Adviser, Special Assistants to the National President, top Management staff and ALGON development partners.
Other dignitaries in attendance included the District Head of Kaita, Sarkin Sallubawan Katsina Hakim Kaita Alhaji Abdulkadrim Kabir Usman, and the Executive Governor of Katsina State, Mallam Dikko Umaru Radda, represented by the Head of Service, Alhaji Falalu Bawale.
