The Honourable Minister of Defence, H.E. Mohammed Badaru Abubakar CON, mni, alongside the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, and other top Nigerian officials, accompanied Vice President Kashim Shettima GCON, to the General Debate meeting in the General Assembly Hall on Tuesday, 23rd September 2025.The meeting was part of the plenary sessions of the week-long 80th United Nations General Assembly in New York, United States of America.Vice President Kashim Shettima, representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, led the Nigerian delegation to the 80th UNGA, reaffirming Nigeria’s presence and active participation in global discussions.
