POCACOV Lagos Command And Apapa Iganmu LCDA Sensitize Transport Operators, Traders Against Drug Abuse And Other Social Vices

The Lagos State Police Command, through the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), in collaboration with the Apapa Iganmu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), held a sensitization programme for transport operators, traders and other stakeholders on the dangers of drug abuse, cultism and election violence, National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP can report.

Representing the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, psc, mnips, the Area Commander, Area B Command, ACP Onyinyechi Onwuamaegbu, urged participants to shun all forms of criminality and embrace lawful conduct. She emphasized the vital role of transport operators and traders in promoting peace and security, while encouraging them to support the Police by providing timely and credible information and ensuring that criminal elements are not harboured within their communities.

The programme, held at the Apapa Iganmu LCDA Secretariat, featured goodwill messages from the Executive Chairman of the LCDA, Divisional Police Officers, and other stakeholders, who all stressed the importance of collective responsibility in combating crime and sustaining peaceful coexistence.
