POLICE ARREST BRIDGE RAILINGS VANDALS

Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) in the Lagos State Command has arrested two suspected vandals with a pile of already cut railings and a hacksaw on the overhead bridge at the Trade Fair Complex area of Ojo.

In a press statement e-signed and released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP by the Command’s Spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin stated that, “Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) on Friday July 15, 2022 at about 3:00 a.m. arrested two suspected vandals with a pile of already cut railings and a hacksaw on the overhead bridge at the Trade Fair Complex, Ojo.”

According to the statement, “The arrested suspects are one Abdullateef Abdulrahim ‘m’ aged 22 and Aliyu Lawan ‘m’ aged 16.” 

The Commander, Rapid Response Squad (RRS), CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, had in response to credible intelligence on crime in the area directed an operation that led to the arrest of the suspects.
 
Meanwhile, whe Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, fdc, mnim, psc has directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba for further investigations to detect and crush the criminal network behind the incessant destruction of these infrastructure and their eventual prosecution.
