As Muslims across Nigeria and around the world celebrate Eid al-Adha, the Executive Secretary/CEO of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund, Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim faithful, urging them to embrace the enduring values of sacrifice, compassion, peace, and unity which the festival represents.
Dr. Ogunsan described “Eid al-Adha as a solemn reminder of the unwavering faith, obedience, and sacrifice demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim”, noting that the lessons of the season remain deeply relevant to nation-building, peaceful coexistence, and collective progress.
He called on Nigerians, particularly residents of Lagos State, to continue promoting harmony, tolerance, and mutual understanding irrespective of ethnic, religious, or political differences, stressing that sustainable development can only thrive in an atmosphere of peace and stability.
The LSSTF CEO also emphasized the importance of shared responsibility in sustaining security and public safety across Lagos.
He urged citizens to remain vigilant during and after the festivities by being security conscious, reporting suspicious activities to relevant authorities, and cooperating with security agencies in safeguarding lives and property.
According to him, “the spirit of sacrifice which defines Eid al-Adha should also inspire greater support and commitment towards strengthening security architecture and community safety initiatives in Lagos State.”
Dr. Ogunsan further prayed for continued peace, prosperity, and divine blessings upon Lagos State and Nigeria, while wishing all Muslim faithful a joyous, peaceful, and fulfilling Eid al-Adha celebration.
