I took a deeper look at life from a different perspective, from my thorough analysis, I came to a logical conclusion that; no matter the amount of money or wealth you possess on earth, without good character and support of human resources around you, wealth is practically a waste. In the Yoruba parlance; Bí Ajá ba lẹ́ni lẹhin, á pa Ọ̀bọ meaning The dog that has the support of humans will definitely kill a monkey with ease. All I can say is Eniyan Lasho mi.

Ever since the Ooni of Ife; Ooni Adeyeye Babatunde Akande Ogunwusi Baba mi announced that I will be conferred with the highly revered title as the Iyalaje Oodua, I received numerous calls in solidarity from all sundry who said they are solidly behind me and they will support me with all resources. I took out time to think deeply about the reason why the calls were quite enormous but nothing came to my mind. People called from home and diaspora as they said the installation ceremony day would be superb. I had to do my bit making sure I prepare for everyone. At a point, I fasted and prayed that God protects everyone coming from the diaspora. I also prayed for those who will travel from around Nigeria to grace the occasion to also have a smooth journey to and fro. I am happy that my prayers were answered that there was no news of any causality recorded everything went smooth as planned. All Thanks Go to the Creator of Heaven and earth.

Apart from my birthday that holds a very significant day in my life, 17-7-2021 would forever remain sacred in my heart. A day that people I never believed would be present defied all odds and turned up for me. People I have not seen for years traveled miles away from different continents just to show me love. When I entered the hall and saw the mammoth crowd gathered, I was overwhelmed and moved to tears. I continue asking myself what have I given to these people for them to have abandoned their comfort zone to come and celebrate with me? what do I owe these people to have made them cancel their tight itinerary just to grace my occasion? As I failed to find an answer to the rhetorical question running through my mind, all I can say is THANK YOU ALL…. Esheun Gidi Gan Ni…..

Truly, Eniyan Boni Lara Ju Asho lo…. I am more than elated. I truly wish I can open my heart to show the amount of joy in it, I would have loved to open it but my joy is abstract you can’t see but you can only feel it. As you all added colour to my event, may Almighty God continue to add colour to your lives. As you guys have shown me this immense love, may you all never witness any show of shame in your lives. As you all traveled from afar to celebrate me, may heaven celebrate you all. May the god of Aje Deity continue to replenish your pockets.. Abusi ni ti Olokun, Ema ri Aje Jeun.

All the business tycoons, Officers of the Nigerian Customs Service, All Iyaloja’s across the country, Clearing and Forwarding Agents, The Nigerian Police Force, NSCDC, Nigeria Military, Amotekun Corps, and other security agencies and to those I didn’t remember to mention, pardon me for that, you all have crested your names in Gold in my heart; I will never forget nor take your love for granted….
